Otoscopy

Otoscopy is a clinical procedure used to examine structures of the ear particularly the external auditory canal, tympanic membrane, and middle ear. During the otoscopic examination an otoscope is used to visualise the ear anatomy.

 

Tympanometry

Tympanometry is the use of a device attached to a probe that will push air into your ear. This helps identify any problems with the middle ear.

Pure Tone Audiometry

This is the main test to identify hearing threshold levels enabling determination of the degree type and configuration of a hearing loss and thus providing a basis for diagnosis and management..
